In the late 1940s and into the 1950s, Taylor, Smith & Taylor made souvenir ashtrays.
They were round with modeled panels on the rim and are almost always unmarked.
Most were decorated with risque decals which were meant to be sold to bars and taverns.
The treatments were meant to be humorous, but sometimes they bordered on sexist and in some cases racist. Harker also made such ashtrays
in two differnt shapes -- one with the Royal Gadroon border and one with a plain rim.
Below are just a few examples of TS&T's souvenir ashtrays.
