For several years the old Taylor, Smith & Taylor pottery has underwent demolition. In 2012, the removal of debris and hazardous materials was completed. After being vacant for thirty-one years, the delaoplated factory was finally no more.
The photo to the right shows the pottery in Decemember of 2011. The photos below feature the last stages of cleanup.
They were taken during the last week of June 2012 when crews were staring to shorten the distinctive red smoke stack.
