A large stone tunnel was constructed over the stream Muchmores Run. Muchmores Run starts just beyond Shadow Lawn cemetery and runs through Laurel Hollow and into the park. Originally, it would have emptied into the lake, but today runs under the main road. At the far right of the vintage postcard you can see the tunnel of the north side of the bridge.
