The Unibody shape was made by Homer Laughlin in June of 1976. Four items made up the line: the cup, saucer, creamer, and covered sugar. Unibody was meant to be mixed with flatware from other shapes. In almost every case, flatware from Hearthside was used.

The undated advertisement below shows the Unibody shapes with Hearthside and Cavalier flatware. "Old Dominion" CV-179 uses Cavalier flatware. All of the other lines use Hearthside flatware. Their treatment numbers are prefixed "HU" with the H standing for Hearthside and the U for Unibody.

Like most other hollowware made at this time, Unibody will be found with no HLC markings.
