Far East
[DSN:UNK, NS:PCPCO]
This decal was first used by the Paden City Pottery Company of Paden City, West Virginia. It was named Far East and appeared on their Shell Krest shape in the late 1930s.
In the 1940s, the decal became commercially available and was used by several large potteries and small decorating firms. In Homer Laughlin's case, it was applied to second quality Nautilus, Virginia Rose, and other shapes.
It should be noted Homer Laughlin had a series of six Chinese-themed decals in the late 1930s. However, Far East was not part of that set.
