Santa Fe, Red Pig
[DSN:UNK, NS:SAL]
This decal was first used by the Salem China Company of Salem Ohio on their Victory dinnerware and Hot-co kitchenware shapes in the late 1930s. It was offered under the name "Santa Fe" with red trim.
It was also used by American Limoges of Sebring, Ohio on their Triumph shape.
In the 1940s, other firms used the decal. In Homer Laughlin's case, it appeared on Marigold, Virginia Rose, Century, and several other shapes. Collectors have dubbed the decal Red Pig.
