May Flowers

There were three "May Flowers" patterns used by Homer Laughlin from the late 1920s until the early 1940s. They are identical in style, but differ in background colors. Black (sometimes called dark blue in vintage ads), light blue, and green were all used on the Kwaker shape.

Most were also used on Empress, Wells, and Eggshell Nautilus as border treatment. They have also been found as verge treatments on Yellowstone and Virginia Rose.

These decals were available to other potteries in the East Liverpool district. Knowles, Taylor & Knowles used the black version while National China favored the blue one.
