Shaggy Tulip
[DSN:856, NS:DN]
Commercial Decal, Inc. supplied many of the decals to potteries in the East Liverpool.
The trade advertisement below comes from a September 1947 issue of Crockery and Glass Journal which shows the "shaggy tulip" decal. This particular pattern was a stock decal and used by just about every pottery in operation in the late 1940s and early 1950s, namely Hall China, Taylor, Smith & Taylor, and Homer Laughlin. To the right of the ad is an example of the decal on a Homer Laughlin Kitchen Kraft teapot, circa 1951.
