Karol China was a decorating firm from California. In the 1950s, they decorated blanks from several larger potteries, but Karol China tended to favor Homer Laughlin shapes. These include pieces from Rhythm, Georgian Eggshell, Cavalier Eggshell, Republic, Liberty, and others.
One of their most popular decorations was an all over gold stamp pattern called Rose Chintz. It was often sold under the trade name Karolyte. They also decorated pieces with all over 22 karat gold and sometimes made state plates with elaborate gold stamps and trim.
