Many of the vintage glazes and stains used by East Liverpool, Ohio potteries came from chemical companies such as Harshaw, Hawthorne, Croxall, and Mason. For example, most, if not all, of the underglaze colors used on Homer Laughlin's Brittany and Piccadilly shape were supplied by these four firms.
