Fiesta® Individual Skillet Baker
The individual skillet baker was introduced in 2016. It measures 12" by 8 ½" and holds 18 ounces.

This piece was part of the bakeware collection. It was marked with an embossed circular Fiesta HLC-USA mark, with a special note that it wasn't meant for stove top. However, it could be placed in the oven.

The plain skillet baker [item 930] came from the pottery's restaurant ware line. It was one of several generic pieces to be offered in Fiesta® glazes in the 1990s. Initially, the line was called Fiesta® Mates, but it was later renamed Colorations. It has been found in white, rose (shown below), cobalt, apricot, black, yellow, turquoise, periwinkle, sea mist, and persimmon. Other colors may exist.

In 1940, the pottery made special pieces to promote Fiesta® dinnerware. The French casserole in yellow was part of the sales campaign. It is sometimes mistaken as a skillet, but it was never meant for oven use. It is strictly a covered dish. They were all meant to be in yellow, but a rare few have been found in other colors, namely dark blue.
