Vintage Fiesta® Platter
When Fiesta® was under development in 1935, it was decided the line would be a round shape. There were to be no oval pieces. This meant Fiesta® would have no platters, pickle dishes, bakers, sauceboats, or gravy fast stands. Interestingly, the shapes that came before and after Fiesta® had all of these pieces, and in the case of platters and bakers, there were usually multiple sizes.
The line became an instant hit in 1936. By 1938, it became necessary to introduce a platter and sauceboat to meet demand. The 12 ½" platter was modeled in February 1938. It was produced until the line was discontinued in January 1973.
It can be found in all eleven Fiesta glazes: red, yellow, blue, light green, old ivory, turquoise, gray, rose, forest green, chartreuse, and medium green, as well as antique gold and turf green from Fiesta Ironstone. The platter was also part of the Sheffield Amberstone and Coventry Casualstone lines.
Most Fiesta® platters were marked with an underglaze Fiesta HLC-USA backstamp.
Like all vintage plates and saucers, it is easy to tell vintage from contemporary platters by flipping them over. Vintage platters have a glazed or "wet" foot; contemporary platters have a wiped or "dry" foot.

Fiesta® Ironstone Sauceboat Stand
The sauceboat stand was modeled in March 1967 and was originally intended for the brown Sheffield Amberstone line. It was later used in Coventry Casualstone and Fiesta® Ironstone. Since it was never part of the standard Fiesta® line, it was made in four colors only: amber, antique gold, turf green, and mango red.
They measure 9" by 6 ½".

Royal Metal Platter
In 1936, a plain oval platter was made for the Royal Metal Manufacturing Company. Royal Metal offered the platters with chrome plated metal frames.
They were made in four Fiesta® colors, red, blue, light green, and yellow, and four Harlequin colors: yellow, blue (mauve), spruce, and maroon.
Sometimes these platters are called Fiesta® Kitchen Kraft, however, they weren't listed in Fiesta® KK advertisements and brochures. They weren't meant to be marked, but sometimes they can be found with a Royal Chrome sticker.

Fiesta® Small and Medium Platters
Two oval platters were offered after Fiesta® was reintroduced in 1986. The medium 11 ⅝" platter was modeled on February 12, 1986. Two days later, on February 14, the small 9 ⅝" platter was modeled. Both went into production soon after.
Platters were often listed by their trade names rather than their actual measurements. The trade designations for the 11 &frac58" and 9 &frac58" platters are #8 and #6, respectively.
In the early 1990s, the small platter was redesigned. The first version was somewhat bowl shaped, but its replacement was made flatter with a steep rim.

Fiesta® Extra Large Platter
On March 22, 2009, the factory announced a new platter measuring 19 ¼" would be released in the special 75th anniversary glaze, marigold. Marigold was made for a limited time between April 2009 and September 2010. The platter itself continued production in other colors until it was discontinued in 2022.
Extra large platters were made with an embossed circular Fiesta® HLC-USA mark. Marigold examples were given a special 75th anniversary decal marking.
It can be found in white, cobalt, sunflower, shamrock, tangerine, scarlet, peacock, evergreen, ivory, marigold, chocolate (rare), lemongrass, paprika, flamingo, lapis, poppy, slate, sage, daffodil, meadow, butterscotch, twilight, and peony.

Other Platters
Many restaurant ware plates and platters made at both Homer Laughlin and Hall China were given Fiesta® glazes from the 1990s to 2020. Here are just a few examples.
