The Fiesta® goblet was first offered by Bloomingdale's towards the end of 1999. It was made in the following glazes: white, rose, cobalt, yellow, turquoise, periwinkle, sea mist, persimmon, chartreuse, pearl gray, juniper, cinnabar, and sunflower. Black goblets weren't supposed to be made, but several are known to exist.
A goblet was first modeled by Joseph Geisse on April 21, 1999; however, it was deemed too small. Two months later on June 23rd, a new version was made, this time taller and with an increased capacity. It was approved and went into production.
Even though the small experimental goblet was rejected, a significant number of samples were made and sold at the factory's retail outlet in Newell, WV. To date, they have been found in periwinkle, sea mist, pearl gray, and cobalt. Other colors may exist.
The larger goblet stands 6 ¾" tall and was given the item number 429. It was discontinued in 2001.
The goblet's marking has the Fiesta® name spelled out with HLC, USA, and a JG, Joseph Geisse's initials.
The small experimental goblet was marked with a capital cursive F in the inside center, with HLC, USA, and JG along the edge.
