There are four sizes of Fiesta® "bistro" or "bistro coupe" plates. They offer a more modern, coupe shape in contrast to the classic rim plates. All four bistro plates are currently in production, however, they were not created at the same time.
On August 21, 2008, the 9" Fiesta® "pellet plate" was modeled. It became part of the factory's healthcare line. It was eventually added to the regular Fiesta® line as a bistro buffet plate. In 2022, it was renamed a bistro luncheon plate.
The second bistro style plate made was the 6 ¼" appetizer plate. It was modeled on January 31, 2014, and put into production the same year.
The last two bistro plates, the 10 ½" dinner and 7 ¼" salad plates, were modeled in April and March 2015, respectively.
Like the classic rim plates, bistro plates will always have a dry or "wiped" foot and an underglaze Fiesta backstamp with a date code.
