Americana and International by Hall China
Below are drawings and notes for the Americana and International hotelware shapes by Hall China art director, Don Schreckengost.

Americana was designed for the Americana Hotel, located east of Seventh Avenue between 52nd and 53rd Streets in New York, NY. The shape was completed by November 1962.

In 1963, the Americana shape was redesigned and named International. The bodies of both wares were kept the same, only the rims differed. Americana had a smooth, rectangular rim with rounded corners. International was given a scalloped rim.

While Americana was meant for a specific customer, International was created for the general trade and was featured in the 1964 catalog.
