Knowles' Classic shape was made in two different glazes - a matte glaze dubbed "Satin" and the standard plain white glaze called "Ivory." As a result there are two different backstamps depending on the glaze - Classic Satin and Classic Ivory. Unfortunately, the markings lack any type of date code commonly used in other Knowles backstamps.
Classic Satin seems to be more available than its Classic Ivory counterpart. Both were made with various decals and gold stamp decorations.
The flatware is an ordinary rim shape. However, the hollowware is formally styled with pedestal feet, exaggerated handles, and pointed finials.
